Events run
seamlessly and future events can be offered due to
C.H.I.L.D.
Friends & Supporters. Volunteers
are a big part of that.
Helping in any way is always
appreciated and needed.
High
School Students - Colleges are looking beyond your SAT
scores. They want to see more community service
involvement of possible incoming students. Employers are
also eager to know how in your community you have made a
measurable difference and commitment. High School Students
that help The C.H.I.L.D. Organization earn letters of
recognition for their service to be included with their college
portfolios. Written references for schools and employers
are also provided for High School Student Volunteers.

Throughout
the year C.H.I.L.D. organizes and provides workshops that promote
education, maximizes teaching, furthers
awareness and is a NJ State registered provider of Professional
Development Hours for teachers and other professionals.
Our
programs provide resources, specific strategies and supports for
parents, teachers and other specialists that work with children with
and without
LDs
because its not about
Special
Education, it
is however,
all
about Good Teaching!
The
programs at CHILD apply to children of all ages, from Pre-K to
College and beyond.
Unfortunately
the various issues and problems that affect children in the
classroom or the lecture hall exist,
with
or without a diagnosis.
However,
it is vital to your child's success that their challenges are
not
overlooked
or minimized. If a child or adolescent is struggling day-to
day with the same problems, or new issues develop,
it
is important to get appropriate help for your child. It's
also critical to your child's wellbeing that they are NOT blamed
for not trying hard enough or that they are not paying attention.
CHILD
programs do more than help parents and teachers with their
struggling child. CHILD programs actually help unite us all
in creating awareness and advocacy in the common goal of helping
our children to succeed and to do the best that they are possibly
able to achieve.
